Taking last year's oral advocacy skills seminar to the next level, the NCADA Young Lawyers Committee is pleased to offer an opportunity for young lawyers to hone appellate advocacy skills through lecture and moot court arguments.  On the day of the seminar, attendees will be assigned a section number and identified as either the petitioner or respondent advocate.  After two elimination rounds of argument, highest scoring advocates will present their argument at the N.C. Supreme Court in front of judges, including North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Paul Newby.

Participants will sharpen their advocacy skills and receive feedback regarding their oral advocacy techniques from some of the state's top attorneys and judges.  Materials will be provided in advance of the seminar and attendees are encouraged to review the materials in order to be prepared to argue both sides.  Attendance is limited to 32 participants.  Non-participating attorneys are welcome to attend as well.
