Judicial Activity

The  NCADA Judicial Endorsment Committee will evaluate each appellate candidate based on a set of criteria that includes the candidate’s reputation in the legal community, exposure to or appreciate of issues involved in civil litigation, commitment to evenhanded application of the rules governing out courts, and an outstanding record of judicial achievement or have the potential to be an outstanding judge.  The Committee will review past decisions of the current sitting judges for balance in their civil cases and will take into account your views and opinions based on responses to an anonymous survey regarding candidates. 

Mission & Endorsement Criteria

The N.C. Defense Fund was the political action committee for the NC Association of Defense Attorneys for just over 20 years. In 2023 we terminated the PAC and will make judicial endorsements based on our 501(c)6 tax status through our Judicial Endorsement Committee.

·         Made endorsements in 67 appellate races
