The Discovery Dilemma: Handling Personnel File Requests & Other Tricky Situations

Our next Shop Talk with Government Lawyers discussion will be on discovery issues, in particular the nuances of handling discovery and defending a local government from a lawsuit. Discussion areas will include litigation in general with government entities, how to handle personnel file requests, public record requests, requests for body camera footage, political issues that may come up, and advising clients on any pre-trial press issues during a lawsuit. Discussion leaders are Kimberly Rehberg and John Roseboro, City of Durham, and Patrick Baker, City of Charlotte.

These informal members only discussions are a resource for private practitioners and public sector attorneys to share and strategize around common trends affecting defense litigation in the public sector. The next chats will be October 6th at the Fall Seminar.

Don’t miss what promises to be another informative and lively interactive discussion. This is a Members Only discussion with private and public government sector attorneys.
